A gameshow based around player communication. Four players are placed in separate rooms unable to see each other. Each player has access to building blocks and a platform on which to build. Each platform has a different part of the build pre-completed.
The players must communicate with each other to complete the same build four times – one in each room. However, there’s a twist: each player can only talk to one player, and be heard by a different player. Therefore, messages have to be passed down the line like in a game of Telephone.
HISTORY
Broken Communication was the second gameshow ever released by WraithStation.
Broken Communication (2021)
Four players attempt to build the same colourful cube in this single-episode YouTube gameshow.
TRIVIA
- The cast were not informed what the task was until 5 minutes after the time limit began. Before then, they only knew that it was a communication game similar to Telephone, and were left to try to work out what the challenge was by themselves.
- Originally, there were going to be two teams competing against each other to complete the challenge the fastest. The second team’s footage didn’t make the final cut, so it became a co-op challenge show rather than a competitive racing show.
- The show was filmed after the Hide & Seek tournament, but was released first due to being a smaller project to edit.
